What would you do in a forest that stretched as far as the eye can see?
The potential for outdoor recreation in the Keweenaw is as vast as the view—and your imagination.
Within these forests is something for everyone, in every season—motorized, or human-powered.
Help us create your next adventure getaway.
Few areas in the Midwest and Eastern United States contain such enormous, undeveloped landscapes.
This land has few roads, no subdivisions, abundant wildlife, and is at-risk.
We have the opportunity to protect our native forests, lakes, rivers, and wetlands on a regional scale.
Let's keep the Keweenaw wild.
The Keweenaw economy is driven by outdoor recreation.
Access to outdoor places is essential for our communities to grow and thrive.
Exploring the Keweenaw is a way of life and together we protect it for future generations.
The Keweenaw Outdoor Recreation Coalition was created in 2019 to bring together a variety of user groups with one shared goal: to protect the Keweenaw's vast landscapes for everyone, forever. Whether you bike, snowmobile, hunt, hike, or birdwatch, we need your help to make this vision a reality.
